When creating banners, it is possible to have have a banner link to either somewhere inside my store, or to an outside link somewhere like my facebook, youtube etc.?

A banner can link to either one of your ZIPBOX Media Store's artists or collections, or you can enter a url. That url can be an internal url within your store or some other url, like your blog or an advertiser who has paid you to have a link on your site.

I just got a zipbox gift certificate in my email as a gift from a friend. Where do I goto redeem the gift certificate?

In the upper right of a ZIPBOX Media Store, in the yellow stripe there is a link labeled "redeem gift certificate". Click that and enter your certificate number in the field and click "add credit".

If you are not already a customer with a ZIPBOX Media login you will be asked to create an account so the credit can be applied.

I went through the checkout process and purchased a few files, but I didn't download them at the time. Now I want to go back to the site and download my files, but I cant find my purchased files to download. How do I get to my downloads?

If you are not logged into a ZIPBOX Store do that first. Once you are logged in and you have downloads available you will see a button at the top right of the page with the grouping of forms. That button will be labeled "Downloads" and tell you the number of files available to download. Click there and start downloading files.

How many downloads am I allowed to start at one time? I tried to start them all, but only 4 of them began to download the others are just sitting there. Its like they have started, but I am not getting any progress on the download.

You can start them all. Most operating systems (like Windows, Mac or Linux) only allow 4 simultaneous streams. That does not mean your files will not be downloaded. The other files are queued for download as soon as a stream is available.

I successfully downloaded a file using the zipbox downloader, but I do not know where they are on my computer. Where are they?

When you click to download a file a save dialog box opens to your browser's default download location. Pay attention to that location in relation to your system directory structure and you will most likely find you files in there.

You can change that location from the save dialog box and your browser will remember that location for the next file you download.

Does zipbox use a desktop application that I have to install on my computer in order to download content from a zipbox store, or is it a browser based downloader?

No desktop application needed. All you need is a modern browser with the Flash plugin.

Is it possible to somehow gather the information (emails/names) of customers who purchased items from my store in order for me to create a database for e-blasts, mailings etc.?

On your ZIPBOX Media Store Administrator go to Sales:My Customers. At the bottom of your customers list is a form that will allow you to download a CSV file with your customer's contact information in it. CSV files can be opened with a spreadsheet application like MS Excel.

I downloaded a file from a zipbox store and when I tried to open it, my computer told me that my file is corrupt. Is there a way to re-download the file? and if so, how do I re-download the file?

If you purchase files from a ZIPBOX Media Store you will be give 4 days to download those files automatically. If, for some reason, you cannot get the files downloaded in that amount of time you can send a request to the storeowner (from whom your email receipt came) to renew your download period another 4 days.

Once you successfully download a file your file is immediately unavailable for download a second time. So, be careful not to lose your files. If the file is lost or corrupted you can once again appeal to the storeowner to renew your download status.

Download Renewals are at the complete discretion of each storeowner.

What does it mean to have my music sales report to Nielsen Soundscan?

Any music collection or single file can be given a special code that we use as a means to report sales of those items to Nielsen Soundscan. This is the agency that tallies sales for Billboard Magazine's charts.

Those special numbers are UPC or ISRC. UPCs are given to music collections and ISRCs are added to singles. You may have already obtained these numbers for your music and if so you will want to enter those numbers in related with your collections and songs in the ZIPBOX Media Store administrator.

If you have not obtained a UPC or ISRC you can have ZIPBOX Media give them for you. You get 5 UPCs with your ZIPBOX Media Store. You can purchase more for a nominal fee.

Oh, and by the way, ringtones sales will also be recorded for individual files. So if you create and sell ringtones make sure to enter or obtain an ISRC for each one so we can report your sales.
