Banners and Sliders

Banners are images that link to other pages in or outside your store. You create banner groups that can then be added to your home page or category pages. Banners appear below the menu bar when they are activated on a particular page.

Once you've created a banner group you can start adding banners ads to that group. Banner ads are gif, jpeg or png images that you create in either one-third-size or full-size (more on that later). These banner ad images are then linked to a collection, artist or a URL. See the screen shot below.

Linking to a collection requires you to have collections in your ZIPBOX Media store. Same is true for artists. Just select the type of link you want and choose from the available list of collections or artists.

An outside link or URL is going to be a link to the url you enter. Make sure you include "http://" in your url. Any banner ad linked to a url will open a new browser window from your site.

One third size banners are images that are 250 pixels wide by 140 pixels tall. They are called one third size because three of them will fit at a time across the banner space. Make sure when you use the one third size to create at least three of them or there will be empty spaces in the banner space.

Full size banners are images that are 800 pixels wide by 140 pixels tall. They take up the entire width of the banner space.
