Preparing Your Files For Uploading
File preparation is very important and enables you to have good files management as well as helps your customers to be able to know what they are downloading. Here are some key points to keep in mind when you are preparing your files.
1. Remember to name your files.
2. If you uploading several files into a Collection ie Music Collection, make sure they are all the same file type ie ".mp3". This is not manditory, but helps in the upload and download process. However a collection can still include several files types combined ie audio with video with text with images etc.
3. Make sure you have a good resolution for your file. This does not have to be highest possible resolution ie image resolution (dpi), or music resolution (bit depth), but what you would consider decent enough to be sold.
4. Embed Image in Audio (Audio ONLY) - Another important step when preparing your audio for upload is if you want to embed and image ie the album cover etc. Many programs will allow you do this such as itunes™ and jaikoz, which are both free to use.
