Setting up: Using your own domain name

Your domain registration change with Network Solutions

If you own a domain name and have access to control its DNS settings, then your ZIPBOX Media Store can reside on your domain. These instructions are intended for use with a Network Solutions domain registration but the principles are applicable to any domain registrar. 

You will be changing your domain'sA Record, or Host IP address to the ZIPBOX Media master IP address.

ZIPBOX Media address can be found on My Account: My Store

Here's how.

  1. Log into your Network Solutions Account.
  2. Make sure you are in the Manage Domain Names area. You will find the Manage Domain Names are in the menu to the left under nsWebAddress.
  3. Check the checkbox to the left of the domain name you want to use as your ZIPBOX Media Store.
  4. Click Edit DNS under the list of domains.
  5. On the next screen look for the Advanced DNS Manager.
  6. Read the instructions and click Manage Advanced DNS Records.
  7. Next to "www.yourdomain.com" enter the ip address found on My Account: My Store
  8. Repeat that entry for "@none .yourdomain.com".
  9. You may also enter the IP address for "*(all others).yourdomain.com.
